The Shapes of Wine
Did you know that you can readily recognize the wine grape variety by its leaf shape? Here are some examples.

Cabernet Sauvignon - five lobed leaf, deeply cut and overlapping, forming round holes or 'eyes' staring at you.

Merlot - a five lobed 'Maple leaf' shaped leaf without the overlap. So no 'eyes' peaking at you.
